Temple Green Motherland - Dudley Sirisena

Marking the beginning of the new year 2022, under the “Temple Green Motherland” program jointly implemented by Manusat Derana and the temple movement, I initiated the planting of bamboo and mango saplings on both sides of the road from Higurakgoda to Polonnaruwa.

In addition to this, as usual, we distributed five thousand coconut trees to our staff members for planting in their homes,and distributed all school stationery including school bags and books for all their children of school age.

We have already given life to more than a million trees across the country under the temple green motherland program, and the fact that most of them are very rare plants that bring fertility to the living environment has increased the importance of this program even more.
